A guide to living a global lifestyle

Nathan Fluellen

Nathan Fluellen, the venerable creator and host of World Wide Nate – the quintessential guide to living a global lifestyle, has been traveling the world since 2004.  The show focuses on adventure, food, and culture, as seen from Nathan’s unique perspective.

He has visited 50 countries and 6 continents, making it look thrilling and chic.  His fearless and infectious personality has been entertaining viewers, while running with the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, swimming with jellyfish in Palau, and defying gravity, while descending Conveyor Quay Tower in Montreal, Canada.  He’s even showed us his softer side, while hanging out with Koala in South Australia.  In March 2016, Nathan became one of the first sponsored US tourists to visit Cuba in over 50 years.

Nathan’s interest in traveling was stoked during high school, when his mother would travel on missionary trips abroad.  Her stories and experiences helped him realize that traveling the world was not only an option, but also a necessity.  While at Tennessee State University, Nathan’s professor, Dr. Gallen Hull, who has visited over 80 countries, further ignited his interest in traveling, by sharing his autobiography and challenging Nathan to see more of the world than him.  He aptly accepted.

Nathan’s adventures have been sponsored by Chase Marriott, Time, Fortune, Travel + Leisure, Ford & Lincoln Motors, Essence.com, Ebony.com, Mensfitness.com, AOL.com & South African Tourism Board.  He is a 3-time winner of LAWebfest’s Most Outstanding Series and Series Host.

Nathan is also a fitness enthusiast.  He trains 6 days a week; boxing, body weight & core exercises are his focus.  He also eats a clean diet, which includes foods high in protein & low in carbs.  He’s incorporated this lifestyle into his travels, sharing his Train Hard Thursday workouts and cheat day meals on Fried Chicken Friday with his followers.

Giving back is also one of Nathan’s chief priorities.  He joined Rak Life, on a recent trip to Paje, Zanzibar where they helped feed 300 of their elderly population.  He is also interested in starting a scholarship fund at his alma mater, Tennessee State University that will send students abroad to study in Colombia.
